HOUSE RULES & EXPECTATIONS

The Feral House is a sanctuary built on trust, integrity, and radical self-responsibility. These rules ensure a safe containers for exploration, while our cleaning checklist reflects the respect we hold for our shared space and each other.

Sanctuary Protocols

  • Consent is active, enthusiastic, and revocable.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all members.
  • Zero tolerance for non-consensual photography or recording.
  • Respect personal frontiers and the integrity of the rituals.
  • Communication must be direct, authentic, and empathetic.

Post-Ritual Stewardship

  • [ ] Sanitize all tools and surfaces used during interaction.
  • [ ] Return textiles and linens to the designated service area.
  • [ ] Reset lighting and atmospheric controls to baseline.
  • [ ] Ensure personal belongings are collected and cleared.
  • [ ] Dispose of all single-use materials in accordance with bio-safety.

CONDUCT & SAFETY

The integrity of our sanctuary relies on the deep commitment of every member to our shared protocols. These rules are designed to protect psychological safety, physical boundaries, and the preservation of our refined space.

Outside Rules
Let’s keep neighbors happy!
• Do not block anyone’s driveway ever, even temporarily.
• Do not disturb neighbors with loud conversation.
• Do not wear costumes or inappropriate clothing on the street or in the backyard.
• No lingering or loitering on the sidewalk outside the gate.
House Rules

• All guests are required to sign a liability waiver.
• No nonconsensual photography or video.
• No glitter!
• No illegal drugs.
• No illegal activities.
• No screaming or yelling.
• No non-consensual activities.
• No one under 21 years of age.
• No smoking, including cannabis, inside (if smoking outside, use ash trays).
• No DJs or use of sound systems.
• No wax around rugs or without a surface cover.
• No breath play.
• No scenes involving fire.
• No sharp knife props.

Safety First!

• Always call 911 in the case of a life threatening emergency.
• AED kit (defibrillator) is mounted on the kitchen wall.
• First Aid Kit is in the bathroom.
• Fire extinguishers are mounted on the kitchen wall and by the front door.
• Smoke detectors, emergency lighting, and flood lights are hardwired.

CLEANING EXPECTATIONS

Ensure all high-touch surfaces in the ritual space are sanitized post-session.

Remove any personal soft goods and place in designated laundry bins.

Reset lighting and ambient sound systems to house default settings.

Empty waste receptacles and replace liners in the cleaning utility area.

Welcome to Feral House. To maintain the sanctity of our shared sanctuary and ensure an expansive experience for all, we ask that you observe the following house rules and cleaning expectations. These protocols are designed to foster respect, safety, and flow within the community.

Please keep in mind that this venue space is also our private residence and sacred space. We trust you to honor it as such.

Sanctuary Maintenance: Return tools and furniture to their original state after use.

CLEANING CHECKLIST

Arrival & Setup
Departure & Care

• Remove your shoes at the entrance.
• Sanitize all primary impact surfaces.

•Please leave the space as neat, clean, and nice as you found it for the next person!

• Cleaning
• TURN UP THE LIGHTS! Dim spaces can lead to missed hazards like floor messes and spills.
• Return all used items, including furniture and equipment, back to where you found them.
• Make sure bathroom is tidy, and replace used towels.
• Wipe down all used and exposed surfaces. This includes implements, floors, and furniture.
• Thoroughly clean any used equipment. This includes chains and the underside of the multi-bench, straps, legs, and floor.
• Place used linens, towels, and ropes (in the mesh laundry bag) in the hamper bin in the laundry closet next to bathroom.
• Rinse dishes and load into dishwasher.
• Take out garbage from the play room (if the bins are at least half full).
• Replace garbage bin liners (look in kitchen under sink).

Closing
• After events, or if needed, please:
• Turn off all lights, heat, fans, music and speaker.
• Vacuum rugs and floors (vacuumn cleaner loacted in the laundry closet next to bathroom).
• Mop kitchen floor (swiffer and swiffer wipes located in laundry closet).
• Wipe down counters.
